This unit of work is designed to introduce Information Literacy and Information skills to GCSE students and the teachers who deliver the unit.

Although many students have covered Information Technology courses in Key Stage 3, this unit is intended to develop Internet search skills by using Boolean logic and advanced search techniques. Additionally the skills acquired should be used to underpin all resource-based learning, which is part of the range of GCSE subjects studied.
