A performance area in the centre of the building which has a large dance floor. This area also benefits from a 4m x 4m screen and projector with comprehensive lighting setup.

Rambert is a large dance/performance area with a sprung-loaded dance floor. We have a medium-sized lighting rig, with a Q24 programmable light desk, which is located in the Hendrix room. Lighting in Rambert includes an H shape lighting bar rig in white, 7.5 metres x 6.5 metres. This is prewired to sockets along the length of each bar. The 10 stage lights which are suitable for lighting dance, drama and music performances include, 4x Floods, 2x profiles, 4x adjustable spots to wide angle, two dimmer packs (rack mountable) We use a BOSS sound system with has a split area controller so you can have sound in Shakespeare or Rambert or in both. Wireless microphones can be used for performances or for conferences in Rambert and in Shakespeare.
